SHAARD# CR-49-108. (SHAARD has Ebenezer Lutheran & Fall Creek Union combined.)

This cemetery is located on Millersville Rd., directly behind Fall Creek Union Cemetery and also adjacent to Sutherland Park Cemetery.  It was deeded to Washington Township in 1986.  (Note that Ebenezer Lutheran, Fall Creek Union & Sutherland Park are separate cemeteries.)

 

When the cemetery was restored by John Walters (Graveyard Groomer) in 2003-04, Bob Alloway compared the grave markers with the reading done in 1957 by Mrs. Leo Hoyt.  While an additional 200+ grave markers were unearthed, there were also about 100 names on the Hoyt list for which no marker was found.  (At the time of the Hoyt readings, Ebenezer Lutheran & Fall Creek Union were thought to be one cemetery.  Hence the Hoyt burial list is for both cemeteries.)  Some markers were illegible or had been vandalized or removed over the years. It was not possible to determine which cemetery these 100 were really buried in. 

 

There is a combined list for both Ebenezer Lutheran & Fall Creek Union Cemeteries.  It was compiled in 2007 by Marilyn Barber & is based on Bob Alloway's update of the Hoyt list & includes names for 100 or so burials that were not located during the restoration.  (Note: the Barber list shows "EL" in the Plot information for Ebenezer Lutheran & "FC" for Fall Creek Union.  The burials which Alloway did not locate do not show Plot information.  We have included those in the Fall Creek Union burials (shown as "FC*) in the plot information for the individual burial.  Since no marker was found, these "unknowns" could be in either Ebenezer Lutheran or Fall Creek Union.)
