Mrs. Ransom Griffin read this cemetery, approximately March 8, 1941. This list is from her reading in the Indiana State Library. The comments are also Mrs. Griffin’s.

Only one stone on this ground with the dates of Abraham Webb on one side and James Webb on the other side. However, James’ two wives are buried beside him, and I will give their dates from the old family Bible.

            James Webb                           Aug 12, 1788               Feb 27, 1883
            Hannah Sanford                     Apr 6, 1791                 Dec 14, 1838
                        First wife of James Webb

James Webb was born in Orange, Orange Co., VA; went to Henry Co., KY; and in 1832 came to Indiana and entered the land this cemetery is on. He owned 4000 acres of land in Indiana.
James married his first wife in Henry Co., KY, on May 17, 1810. Went back to Henry Co., KY, in 1842 and married his second wife on Nov. 16th of that year and brought her back to Indiana.
Mr. Webb at one time owned the ground that Union Station is on.
See the genealogy written on the Webb family by Mrs. Frances V. Webb; also see old Bible records of Wm. Webb, father of old James.
James Bright Webb, Senator of Indiana, is G-G-Grandson of William Webb.
